Morning walks with Claire

For several weeks now I’ve been doing an exercise swap with a neighbor, Katie, and her daughter, Claire. For four days a week we take turns watching both girls while the other mama exercises. Katie is a runner and much more ambitious with her time than I, but it’s nice to have the time twice a week to do something for myself. Claire and Sylvie are about a week apart in age and ride together all over town in a giant bus of a stroller. Generally, being plunked down into the bus signals to both girls that it’s naptime. Today I tried to get sneaky and stopped at Starbucks while they both dozed, but Sylvie was having none of it. Oh, my little perpetual motion baby.
