Easter fun
April 5, 2010 at 9:06 pm
Sylvie awoke on her first Easter to an egg “hunt,” courtesy of the Easter Bunny. Monsieur Bunny “hid” three wooden shaker eggs in very obscure places throughout the house.
As she’s a true Brousseau, it took her a while to see through her sleepy morning haze and realize that there were surprises in store. But once she caught on, she scampered happily from egg to egg, giggling and clacking away.
We then headed to the store, where she helped pick out the flowers for the dinner table (yellow Gerbera daisies) and the cheeses for the cheese plate (she sampled and liked 4 different types, including a blue cheese! She’s definitely her mama’s daughter).
When we returned, Sylvie donned her fanciest duds and welcomed friends Big Andrew, Little Andrew, and Matt. Despite a brief 10-minute nap, she was a charming and flirtatious hostess. She even said “hi” for the first time as Matt sat down on the couch! We all stuffed ourselves full of yummy Easter dinner and enjoyed hanging out and watching Sylvie’s latest antics. She’s becoming quite a ham as the months roll on. An Easter ham!

Love this! If Sylvie’s a ham, then surely she’s a *honey-baked* ham. So sweet!
