Boom-pa-pa, boom-pa-pa, tango-cha-cha!

Starting November 6th, Sylvie began attending weekly Kindermusik classes. From the scarf waving to the rhythmic massaging to the line dancing…she just adores it all! Hearing her shriek and giggle with excitement is one of the highlights of my week. Now, if only I could get those songs out of my head…

Little fish, big fish

On November 9th, our friends Katie and Claire invited us to join their moms’ group field trip to the New England Aquarium.  As I imagined, Sylvie took it all in with wide-eyed enthusiasm and she greeted many of the fish with shrieks, squeals, and other sounds of delight. Way more exciting than the pediatrician’s waiting [...]

Getting ready for solids!

Grandma Linda surprised us with some great gifts this week – bowls, spoons, and even sippy cups! Our big girl is getting ready to move beyond breast milk. Oh my goodness!

Another good one from Halloween

Alan caught this alternate perspective during our baby costume party. Thanks for the laugh, Alan!

Halloween party #2 (costume changes 3 & 4)

On Halloween we hosted a baby costume party. Eight families and their little monsters were in attendance – we didn’t even realize we had that many friends with babies! It was quite a crowd, but luckily the weather cooperated and we enjoyed much of the time together outside. Thank goodness we ordered some decorative lawn [...]

Halloween party #1 (costume changes 1 & 2)

On October 30th, Joselyn and Noah hosted a Halloween party for moms and babies. Everyone in attendance was from the moms group that Sylvie and I attended regularly when she was younger. It was great to see everyone again, and the costume-clad babies were a total cuteness fest!

Bad mama!

Sylvie suffered her first boo-boo recently. It was completely my fault, and I felt terrible! We were enjoying a nice moment Skyping with grandma when, all of a sudden, the phone rang, the cat jumped, and something clattered to the ground.  Before I could even realize what was happening,  Sylvie had pitched forward from her [...]

Pumpkin farm with Kelly and Timmy

On October 24th, Aunt Kelly and Cousin Timmy came for a visit. Sadly, cousin Tyler was too sick to make it. The five of us spent a lovely Sunday driving to Stow and checking out the vivid foliage. We wound up at Shelburne farm, where we enjoyed checking out the pumpkins, farm animals and, of [...]

Sylvie and her girls

A lovely October Saturday with her two best ladies.
